To the left are the Executive Officers of
our Chapter, with their terms running 2009 & 2010. In
addition, our other Board of Directors are Past President Don Selfe, Quarter Master Ron DeMello and
Directors Nappy Alves, Andy Dufresne & Bob St. Peter, and
then there's also our Special Member, Chaplin Dave Akin.
Here's
a picture taken on July 24, 2008 at the International Convention in
Peoria, IL. International President Mike Ripsch &
Chapter President Mike Gratis standing next to their respective bikes
right after participating in the International Parade through
Peoria. We're
all smiles because we were having a really good time spending the
week with many fellow Blue Knights.
In my
opinion, this is what makes the Blue Knights something truly special
and different from almost any other club in the world. No matter
where you are, if you come across another Brother Knight you instantly
have two things in common with him: Your job (law enforcement)
and your favorite means of transportation (motorcycle). Those two
things alone, many times, can make for an enjoyable, lasting friendship.
