Doug Bohannon brought his
"small trailer", so we'd have a home base and protective awning.
All were in agreement: NICE!
|

Shortly after the gate was
opened, bikes began appearing in numbers. A bird's eye view from
Doug's "little trailer"....
|

Blessing Chairman Neil
Nolan
chats
with Chapter Chaplin Dave Akin aboard this year's
"Popemobile". It was VERY
well received by the participants....
|

PIXY 103 FM Radio was
once again there in full force, supporting our event and making
announcements on the air.
|

And the bikes
continue to line up along the beach. At this point, we're
approaching 500 bikes....
|

It was great seeing our public safety counterparts, the Red Knights,
there supporting us.
|

A local motorcycle cop allowed participants to take pictures on his
bike, which proved to be unexpectedly quite popular.

We all definitely noticed a LOT more small kids at this year's Blessing
- Very Nice to see, as they are the future of motorcycling.
|

Chapter Chaplin Dave Akin doing the honors aboard the Popemobile.
Believe us, with *that*
"blessing wand", no one gets missed!
|

We have now reached the far end of the parking lot, turned around, and
are heading back to bless the other side. Bikes begin to follow
us back in a "mini parade".
|

Walter Barakat, long time supporter of the Blessing and a member of
Cape Cod HOG, looks very happy to be blessed and start his riding
season out right.
|

These twins were having a great time at the Blessing and, yes, they got
blessed.
|

Blessing Chairman Neil Nolan and other Chapter members watch as
approximately 575 blessed bikes move out of the parking lot.
|

The bikes headed out the gate with everyone looking very happy and
enjoying themselves.
|
Thanks to all of those
who attended & supported us, and we very much look forward to
seeing you next year!
Don't forget:
The Blessing is always the first Sunday in May, so next year it will be
on May 2nd.
